Thank you for the article re House Sparrows. I have read it and you have many relevant points. Loss of habitat is recognised as one of the factors in sparrow decline. Loss of food is another and the unfriendly modernisation of buildings which results in loss of nesting sites another.

I cannot say that we will publish your article but I will discuss it at our next planning meeting. In it's present form it is far too long for publication. However, I will contact you again if we can use it in any form.
