Thank you for submitting your manuscript entitled "Why the House Sparrow is in Decline", which we understand to be a revision of your previous submission on the topic. Unfortunately, our firm editorial view is that the article remains far too discursive to be considered as a primary scientific research paper in Nature, and we believe that it would be better placed in a natural history or ornithology magazine.
