Correct !!
Estate B does have some house sparrows. It is Grahame Park, where the efforts to plant trees and give many people in the smaller blocks gardens, has been rewarded by a varied garden bird population. Song and mistle thrushes nest and gold, green and chaffinches are seen along with goldcrests, coal tits, dunnocks and wrens. Green and great spotted woodpeckers are often seen, and kestrels by day and tawny owl by night.
House sparrows colonies are situated in various locations throughout the estate and use the hedgerows to get to various bird tables and feeders. The variety of buildings and Ivy offer them suitable nest sites. Interestingly last winter, a flock of 30+ redwings were seen feeding and roosting on the estate’s southern side.
